Dungarees and Dragons

A brand-new episode of Hold My Order, Terrible Dresser airs this Wednesday.

  1. See I would have Bailey -- the earnest professional woman who may or may not get high with Johnny on the weekends -- in the neutral slot, with Venus at the top of Neutral Dungaree. And OBVIOUSLY my opinions are important enough to post here.

I look forward to your corrected image.

    1. "I look forward to your corrected image. P.S. I am NOT a crackpot."

Just joshing, Jeff. I definitely think you might be onto something here.

  2. We welcome all quibbles, cavils, and petty objections!

I admit I'm not super convinced about Bailey or Jennifer's positions. Venus' placement on the Y-axis is more literal than conceptual, in that he does, at least some of the time, wear suits, and I don't believe we've ever seen him in dungarees.

  3. Ah, but just as Bailey is clearly the conceptual balance between Les and Johnny, so too is Venus the conceptual balance between Johnny and What's-His-Name.

    1. You're definitely starting to convince me. There is some real Planescape/Rule of Threes shit happening here and I LIKE IT.

  4. Venus is an interesting case. A vote for Chaotic Dungaree: years spent AWOL from Vietnam, under an assumed name. A vote for Lawful Dungaree: he seriously considered a job as Program Director (same as Andy) at another station. A vote for Lawful Suit: his time spent as an elementary school teacher (despite his radical, street-youth-oriented approach to the pedagogy of the atom). A vote for Chaotic Neutral: his time spent as Sailor Ned.

    1. Sailor Ned! He dances for nickels. Oh, no-- that's Handsome Pete.
